Downtown was hopping tonight and still is with Mayor Peterson's anual BBQ Grill Cook Off. mmmm did it all smell good. Familes were out. Friends were hanging around. It was alive and happy. The city continues to do so well with keeping the downtown active.
But why oh why did the municipal power plant choose to burn tires tonight? It could've stuck with the coal just for this night. Stacy and I live a block or two awya from the power plant. Somedays the smell is unbearable. Why would they stink out the town on an exciting night with visitors from other cities?
Will Wyandotte be burning tires during the Street Art Fair? God I would hope not.
Ask why?

Mae Moore - Bohemia song
Good song from the 90's. I remember when I had all my hair back in the nineties.

When only one hug can bring you home
Markus Schulz - Sorrow Has No Home lyrics
- http://www.lololyrics.com/lyrics/1700.html#ixzz1MAcoWvtj
Where are things, sometimes late at night
No one's here but breathing sounds
Standing small, sleeping on empty dreams
Move as one, memories
A blanket of stars can't keep you warm
When all your love is gone
And only one heart can argue on
A river of stars can't wash the pain
Emotions drown in pain
For sorrow has no home
Shadows wave, as you shake your fears
Nobody's here but clouds and trees
Question more, absorb the bitter truth
Move as one, it wont let you be
A blanket of stars can't keep you warm
When all your love is gone
And only one heart can argue on
A river of stars can't wash the pain
Emotions drown in pain
For sorrow has no home
Love has no
Love has no home
Love has no
Love has no home
Love has no home
A blanket of stars can't keep you warm
When all your love is gone
And only one heart can argue on
A river of stars can't wash the pain
Emotions drown in pain
For sorrow has no home
Love has no home

Lyrics to 1992 Bohemia by Mae Moore
I missed the bus, yeah, I did it again
That's when I first met the Parisian
Poet, angel it was his idea
I take my place in Bohemia
I've got a view nobody's seen
I read Burroughs but I keep it clean
I go places inside my head
With an eye on tomorrow to keep my soul fed
I came here of my own accord
I came to witness the unexplored
Green valleys and a fertile sea
I came to rediscover the real me
I like it here at least so far
I've got no plans of saying au revoir
Elevated visions when I close my eyes
Stretched out underneath these amaranth skies
Make me feel...
Closer than I've ever been to being alive
Since I've arrived in Bohemia
Late afternoon is a time to dream
I like to listen to Coltraine's "A Love Supreme"
Then I leave my rented room and I walk
Through the fading light down streets that talk
I always meet someone I could call a friend
Prejudice is something we must transcend
Coming into season this world will flower
With the power of love, not the love of power
And I feel, closer than I've ever been
To being alive since I've arrived in Bohemia
Independent spirit... temper us inside
With the strength to live a life fulfilled
And not denied.

I tried to find a better sound version, but didn't. I'll keep looking. I think this is from 1993 ish? I don't quite remember. I like this song, which is why I post it here on the blog with the other ones.
