Monday, April 25, 2011

I remember when this was cool.......

I saw this concert in 1993. I saw it twice...woohoo.

Mercy in you live from Devotional Tour.

I remember Kim and I tried to make me a choker so I could be cool just like Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan. hehe

MediaGrump likes Monaco - What do you want from me

Good song...spin off from the old days New Order's Peter Hook. He;s a cool character....Great Guy.

Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la

There is one thing that I would die for
It's when you say: "My life is your hands"
'Cause when you're near me your love is all I need
Now I can't imagine

What do you want from me
It's not how it used to be
You've taken my life away
Ruining everything

What do you want from me (sha-la la la la-la la)
It's not how it used to be (sha-la la la la-la la)
You've taken my life away (sha-la la la la-la la)
Ruining everything (sha-la la la la-la la)

Give me something I can rely on
Far away from the life that I once knew
What does it matter, that's all I have to say
And I can't imagine

What do you want from me
It's not how it used to be
You've taken my life away
Ruining everything

What do you want from me
It's not how it used to be
You've taken my life away
Ruining everything

Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la
Sha-la la la la-la la

(BREAK)

What do you want from me (sha-la la la la-la la)
It's not how it used to be (sha-la la la la-la la)
You've taken my life away (sha-la la la la-la la)
Ruining everything (sha-la la la la-la la)

Dan Cataldo Favorite Artist - Tiesto Urban Train

Tiesto is perhaps the top DJ in modern day. His shows are always alive. Stacy and I have had the privelage in seeing him perform at the State Theater, Clutch Cargo's and Bleu Room. State Theater now called the Filmore is located in Detroit directly across from Comerica park, Home of the Tigers.

2012 Ford Focus

Most men dream of a Ferrari, Porche or Corvette. Right now I'd be happy with one of these. The new Ford Focus. I'm so impressed on how Ford Motor has turned itself around. A true American Car Company.

Inception Movie Trailor

Best movie of 2010. Inception features fine performances by Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Cain and Tome Hardy. Oh, and let's not forget the Cobra Commander guy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt  and aldo featuring Ellen Page.

Ford Motor Company

I was reflecting today on Ford Motor Company which has its World Headquarters here in Dearborn, MI.

I am truly impressed on how they have turned around their car company. They refused to take the government bail out. But at the same time, Ford was there alongside its competitors GM and Chrysler. Ford was there to help the competition survive. Who does that?

Also, they have really made vast improvements on their product line. The Ford Focus has won numerous awards, including Motor Trends Car of the Year! The body styling for their vehicle models are impressive, and I've been hearing solid feed back and the quality of production that has been coming out of the factories.

This truly is a boost to the Motor City. It instilled some pride back into my heart.

It is Nisan 14 after sundown. Jesus' Memorial is tonight.

Tonight is the memorial of Jesus Christs sacrifice he made for all of us.

How does this affect you—indeed, all of us? Well, Jesus' ministry, death, and resurrection magnify Jehovah God and are crucial to the outworking of His grand purpose. (Colossians 1:18-20) They are of vital importance to us in that we can have our sins forgiven on the basis of Jesus' sacrifice and can thus have a personal relationship with Jehovah God.—John 14:6; 1 John 2:1, 2.
Even mankind's dead are affected. Jesus' resurrection opens the way to bring them back to life in God's promised Paradise earth. (Luke 23:39-43; 1 Corinthians 15:20-22) If you want to know more about such matters, we invite you to attend the Memorial of Christ's death on April 17, 2011, at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in your area.

Stacy Priebe Cataldo got a haircut at Hair Saloon

Stacy got her hair cut today at the Lincoln Park Hair Saloon. The salon is located on Fort Street right hear in Downriver. It's always a difficult task when it comes time to get your hair done. People often times feel so insecure about going to a salon, and often times the salon you coose doesn't help. I often wonder why ladies at certain salons can make you feel so insecure and uncomfortable. Everyone worries about getting a bad haircut, and how about trying to pick out a style? Salons would do much better to come down to earth and help make you feel better about yourself. I do like the Hair Saloon, they are a nice group of ladies that keep it real.

And Stacy, that's a great haircut....I like it a lot. Your'e so hot! I'm happy you are my wife ;)

I need to remeber to search vodpod.com to add this in my accounts video collection.

I'm beginning to think I prefer female vocals....not a bad thing I guess. However, Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode is awesome. His voice does help make the sound to the band, and of course the music that is arranged by Alan Wilder...back in the day.

Wyandotte is a Core Community

Wyandotte is a core community for the troubled Michigan Film Incentive program. Not too many other Downriver cities are listed. I think it's a joke if the state drops these incentives. I believe a lot of people have mis-understandings about how the program works and what it actualy costs. Of course it wouldn't be politics if facts weren't twisted to confuse everyone. How much longer are we going to allow the big 3 control the economic status of Michigan? We either eat filet mignon or hamburger helper. It all depends if anyone is buying new cars or not. Stacy and I have seen some of the programs in action first hand. We have heard the uplifting stories of the work that has been created. We have seen the active movie sets and the busy local business that surround them. I believe the incentive works and Michiganders need the fresh breath of life right now, not more heart ache. Our company is just small potatoes but we keep our vendors right here in the state. So do these movies, they bring money to spend and the incentives are for dollars only spent in Michigan! Hey, I almost got a roll doubling as George Clooney! Except I was a bit too tall. lol. But the experience was exciting and I met a lot of great people and.....and we were able to promote our services to the big guy. Thanks goes to my wifes sister Lisa.

LTB - Lions, Tigers & Beers Oh My!

Stacy sister is in from out of town filming another movie here in Detroit. So last night we all went to LTB's in downtown Wyandotte which was cool because at the same time we were able to meet up with some clients. Wyandotte is a great town. It's filled with great down to earth people and the downtown businesses stick together. FYI- The city is offering small business incentives and grants to relocate here! I thinks it's a great idea and I give the local government a lot of credit for knowing how to access the available federal programs.

Wyandotte is so much better than a city such as Allen Park which couldn't hang onto the movie studio deal that wanted to come in. What a boost this could have been for Downriver, but it won't be because the Allen Park officials blew it. Too bad. I also heard that the city lost it's fire department. Wow. Perhaps Melvindale should anex the sections north of Southfield Rd away from the city if they can't do things right themselves.

Southgate has always had a good mixture of businesses, small and large. The city is neatly assembled properly blending big box stores, corporations and small business together. It seems all the major chains end up in Southgate and it must be for good reason.

In my opinion Southgate and Wyandotte are great assests to the Downriver community. And lets not forget the Wyandotte Street Art Fair, one of the biggest in the state. It can almost be compared to Ann Arbors.

Also before I forget, Go Bears! And congrats on the State Hockey Championship. Another boost to local area. What great kids. I love this town.

A favorite from Depeche Mode

Saw this concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills in 1993 with my then wife Kim and a couple of friends. We had great seats for both nights. Kim and I traveled to Battle Creek and slept in the car to get tickets right when it opened. We thought that if we traveled far enough, there wouldn't be anyone interested in this concert and we would be the only ones in line. We were wrong.
